Team India Strength and weakness for World Cup 2024

India has announced its team for T20 World Cup 2024. Rinku Singh has been dropped from the 15-member team captained by Rohit Sharma. On the basis of good performance, players like Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal and Shivam Dubey got a chance.

6 batsmen, 5 bowlers and 4 all-rounders have got a place in Team India. 7 out of 10 batsmen of the team have scored runs at a strike rate of more than 140 in T20 International in the last 2 years, this is the strength of the team. But the fast bowling options of Mohammad Siraj and Arshdeep Singh as Jasprit Bumrah's partner look weak.

2 Most Successful Batsman of 20 Is in the team: The team includes 2 most experienced batsmen in the form of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Both have scored the most runs in T-20 International cricket.

Best bowler and batsman of T-20 in the team: Jasprit Bumrah and Suryakumar Yadav are the two best players of T-20 cricket at present. Surya is also the number-1 batsman in ICC T-20 rankings. Any team in the world can rely on Bumrah's bowling skills for any situation. Along with him, Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav is also in top class form.

4 All-rounders: There are 4 all-rounders in the team in the form of Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dubey, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel. If 3 of these are also part of the playing-11, then captain Rohit will get more options for bowling and batting.

Strike rate of 7 batsmen is more than 140: The team includes 6 proper batsmen and 4 all-rounders. Of these, 7 have scored international runs at a strike rate of more than 140 in the last 2 years. Among these, the strike rate of Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant is low. Pandya scored at a strike rate of 135, while Pant and Jadeja remained injured most of the time.

Team India weakness for T20 World Cup

No Part-time Bowler: The team includes 4 batsmen and 2 wicketkeepers, not a single batsman among these four is bowling part-time at present. Yashasvi, Virat and Rohit can bowl, but these three have not been bowling much in international cricket for some time. On the other hand, defending champions England include 7 all-rounders.

Lack of in-form finisher: Any 3 or 4 players out of Rishabh Pant, Shivam Dubey, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja will play the role of finisher. Of these, only Dubey's recent strike rate is more than 170, while the remaining 3 could not perform anything special. Rinku Singh was dropped from the team, he has scored runs at a strike rate of more than 175 in international cricket. The figures were taken for IPL 2024.

Lower order is the weakest in the world: If Team India keeps Jadeja at number 8, then the remaining 3 players will be Kuldeep, Bumrah and Arshdeep. Jadeja himself bats very slowly in T-20 and takes 30 balls to hit a six. Apart from them, the batting skill of the remaining 3 is negligible, which means in a way, 4 tailenders will play in the team. Even if Jadeja comes at number-7 in a match, then the team's 5 lower order cannot be expected to score 25 runs on 12 balls.

Fast bowling is weak: There are options of Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Hardik Pandya to support Jasprit Bumrah. The international economy of all three is more than 8, Siraj has the experience of playing only 10 T20 Internationals. Therefore Bumrah will miss a strong partner.
