Playing for the St Lucia Kings against the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, Seifert reached his century in exactly 40 balls; he finished with an unbeaten 125 off 53 deliveries.
This innings saw him equal Andre Russell's long-standing CPL record. Seifert's performance was particularly remarkable as he maintained an aggressive approach even as his teammates were getting out. Shanaka remained unbeaten on 121 off 43 balls; his innings featured 8 fours and 12 sixes. He maintained a staggering strike rate of 281.39. What made this innings even more remarkable was that Shanaka came out to bat in the 10th over. He reached his half-century in 24 balls and then accelerated rapidly during the closing stages of the innings. In the 19th over alone, he surged from 93 to 121 runs in just six balls, hitting four sixes and a four. He sealed his record-breaking century by smashing a six off Keon Gaston's bowling.
