PBKS acquired the services of all-rounder Harshal Patel, who had the Purple Cap in the 2020 edition, for Rs 11.75 crore. His base price was Rs 2 crore. PBKS bought English fast bowler Chris Woakes for Rs 4.2 crore more than his base price.
South African T20 specialist Riley Rossouw was also involved in the bidding war between PBKS and Delhi Capitals, with Punjab paying ₹8 crore.
