The Pakistan cricket team has to go on a tour of Sri Lanka in the coming month of July, where the team will play a two-Test series. For this, the Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team. Babar Azam will be seen captaining the team, while Mohammad Rizwan has been assigned the vice-captaincy. Along with this, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, who has been out of the team for the last one year due to injury, has returned and the 21-year-old young player has also been given a chance.
After returning to the Test team, Shaheen Afridi said in a statement to PCB, 'I am very excited to return to Pakistan's Test team after one year. I missed Test cricket a lot and it was difficult for me to stay away from this format. After missing the entire domestic season due to an injury sustained in Sri Lanka, I am looking forward to making a grand comeback in the same country and completing a century of wickets in Test cricket. Please tell that 23-year-old Shaheen has taken 99 wickets in 25 Test matches played so far in Test cricket.
