Organized by 'American Cricket Enterprises' with the approval of USA Cricket, the tournament was launched following the consent of the International Cricket Council (ICC). There is great news for cricket enthusiasts: the fourth season of the MLC has kicked off on June 18 (June 19 according to Indian time). MLC 2026 Venues
The excitement of the tournament is set to reach new heights this time, as matches are being hosted at some of the finest stadiums in the USA:
- Grand Prairie Stadium (Texas): The tournament begins here with the opening seven matches. Following this, the final group-stage matches will also be played at this venue.
- California Leg (Oakland Coliseum and Pomona): Starting in early July, matches will be played at the Knight Riders' home venues in Oakland Coliseum and Pomona.
- Knockouts and Final: The tournament's thrilling knockout rounds will take place in Oakland, while the grand finale is scheduled for July 18 (July 19, Indian Standard Time).
Major League Cricket History and Defending Champions
Although MLC has a short history, it rivals any major league in the world when it comes to excitement:
- League Expansion: Matches in the inaugural season were held at only two venues, but the tournament expanded to three venues in the subsequent season.
- Winners and Dominance: MI New York has won two of the first three championships, while Washington Freedom broke their dominance by clinching the title in 2024.
