The IPL 2025 tournament, which was stopped amid India-Pakistan tension, may resume from May 15. The Australian players who have returned to their country have also been informed about this. BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla has confirmed that an important meeting will be held today in which all aspects including the venue will be reconsidered.

After the IPL was postponed, players from many countries including Australia have left India, some have returned to their country while many have reached other countries to travel. Foreign players were also a big reason for the tournament being postponed, as they did not want to stay here in this tense situation. However, now that the tension between India and Pakistan has subsided, the players have been told that the tournament can start soon.

Australian website Codesports has reported in its report that IPL can start again from Thursday i.e. 15th May, Australian players have been informed about this. BCCI is going to have an important meeting regarding this today, in which the EPL Governing Council, officials and officials can discuss the situation and take a final decision.

"With the new developments in the ceasefire, the BCCI, IPL Governing Council, officials and officers will be meeting tomorrow (May 11) to discuss the situation. We will review the tournament schedule and decide the best possible way to complete it. All aspects, including the venues originally decided at the time of the ceasefire, will be reconsidered. A final decision will be taken soon," BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla told PTI.

According to ESPN Cricinfo, the remaining matches of IPL 2025 could be held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Chepauk in Chennai, and Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

How many matches are left in IPL 2025 now?

The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Dharamsala was stopped midway, after which it was decided to postpone the IPL. Now the news is that this match will also be played again when IPL 2025 starts. Including this match, there are still 13 matches left in the league stage. No team has qualified for the playoffs while three teams (CSK, RR, SRH) are out of the race.

Gujarat (GT) and Bangalore (RCB) are first and second respectively in the points table with 16-16 points. Punjab Kings are third with 15 points and Mumbai Indians are fourth with 14 points. Delhi (DC), Kolkata (KKR) and Lucknow (LSG) are also in the playoff race.
