Since its inaugural season in 2008, the Indian Premier League has grown to be one of the largest sports leagues in the world. Due to the IPL's global appeal, all players regardless of nationality understand the significance of being selected to participate in the IPL. Irfan Pathan, a former Indian all-rounder, participated in the IPL between 2008 and 2017. In his ten seasons as a player, he switched teams six times. He performed for DC between 2011 and 2013 and PBKS between 2008 and 2010.
However, he played for four different teams throughout his last four seasons. Pathan participated in matches for SRH in 2014, CSK in 2015, RPS in 2016, and GL in 2017. He got 80 wickets in 103 games played overall.

Yuvraj Singh, the former Indian superstar, played for six different teams for 12 seasons between 2008 and 2019. Throughout the IPL's existence, he was among the highest-paid Indian players. Singh joined Punjab Kings in 2008 and stayed there till 2010.
After that, he played for Pune Warriors India from 2011 to 2013. He was a player with DD in 2015 and RCB in 2014. He was signed by SRH in 2016 and 2017. He returned for one season in 2018 with PBKS. He retired in 2019 while still a member of the Mumbai Indians.

The first Indian batter to achieve a century in the IPL was Manish Pandey. One of the most well-liked Indian hitters among teams, he inked a four-season contract with Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 11 crores in 2018 and 2021.
Pandey holds the record for most IPL appearances for an Indian player with seven different clubs. He has played for the following teams: SRH (2018–2021), LSG (2022), DC (2023), KKR (2014–2017), PWI (2011–2013), RCB (2009–2010), and MI (2008).

Veteran left-arm pacer Jaydev Unadkat, an Indian, has experience playing for most teams. Several times after his 2011 debut, he has been selected and then released. He spent his first two seasons as a player in 2011 and 2012 with KKR.
Then, in 2013, he spent a season with the Royals. He was selected by the Delhi Daredevils in 2014 and 2015. In 2016 and 2017, he played with KKR and RPS, respectively, for one season each. After that, he worked with RR from 2018 until 2021. In 2022, Unadkat participated for MI, and in 2023, LSG.

Aaron Finch, a former captain of Australia, participated in the league for 11 seasons. He played till 2022 after making his stage debut in 2010. It's interesting to note that he played for a record nine different franchises during his IPL career.
Finch joins the Kolkata Knight Riders as a substitute in 2022 after making his IPL debut for the Rajasthan Royals in 2010. He represented RR, DD, PWI, SRH, MI, GL, PBKS, RCB, and KKR in his performance.
