Lucknow Supergiants all-rounder Marcus Stoinis shattered the pride of Chennai Super Kings in the 39th match of IPL 2024 on Tuesday. CSK, which had an excellent record on its home ground, suffered a 6-wicket defeat by LSG with 3 balls remaining in a high-scoring match.
In the match played at Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, CSK batted first and with the help of a century from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (108*) scored 210/4 in 20 overs. Lucknow counter-attacked on the strength of Stoinis' innings and achieved the target by losing four wickets in 19.3 overs.
Marcus Stoinis scored unbeaten 124 runs in just 63 balls with the help of 13 fours and 6 sixes. With this he has made a big record in IPL history. Stoinis broke the 13 year old record and set a new record in his name.
