The team will be based in Ahmedabad and led by head coach Rachael Haynes. The support staff includes Nooshin Al Khadeer as bowling coach, Tushar Arothe as batting coach, and Gavan Twining as fielding coach.
The Gujarat Giants made a significant investment in purchasing Australia's off-spin all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner for a whopping Rs 3.20 crore during the inaugural Women's Premier League auction on Monday, making it the second most expensive acquisition. The franchise also bought Aussie wicketkeeper Beth Mooney for Rs 2 crore, which is the next biggest purchase. Overall, Gujarat has spent a total of Rs 11.95 crore to assemble a team of 18 players.
