England and New Zealand are facing each other in the 2nd Test match at Trent Bridge in the ongoing Test series between both the teams. Joe Root hit an amazing century on the 3rd day of the ongoing Test match. Root played a brilliant knock of 176 runs.

Joe Root brought back England in the test match after New Zealand posted a huge total in the first innings. This knock of Root has helped England score 539 runs in reply to the first innings score of New Zealand. Joe Root once again played counter-attacking knock-in pressure situations for England./p>

Root played a huge role in England scoring 539 runs in their first innings and fell just 14 runs short of New Zealands score. To witness Roots fabulous knock, a few members of the England womens team including all-rounder Nat Sciver, wicket-keeper Amy Jones, Piepa Cleary were present, however, the veteran pacer Katherine Brunt stole the limelight.

Interestingly, England womens team fast bowler Katherine Brunt, who recently got married to England teammate Nat Sciver, celebrated Roots century in a unique style. As Joe Root reached the magical three-figure mark, Brunt, who was present in the stadium, twerked on camera, which left her partner Sciver and England Womens star Isa Guha in splits. Root has been scoring runs at will and almost everywhere hes traveled since 2021. He has slammed centuries in Sri Lanka, India, Australia, West Indies, and England during this period. The Yorkshire batter recently equaled former England batting legend Alastair Cook to become the youngest to complete 10000 test runs. In the first Test against New Zealand, Root slammed an unbeaten 115 at the Lords and helped his team register an emphatic 5-wicket win.

During his entertaining knock against New Zealand in Trent Bridge, Root played some of his trademark shots and some unconventional strokes as well. His reverse scoop shot during the innings became a topic of discussion on social media.
