If DC loses even one of their next three matches, they will have to hope that no more than three teams have more than 17 points. In such a situation, Delhi will also reach the playoffs.
If DC loses two of their remaining three matches, they will have to hope that one of GT, PBKS and MI lose all their remaining league matches by a big margin. In such a situation, Delhi will have a chance to finish fourth with 15 points.
On the other hand, if DC loses their next three matches, they will finish the season with 13 points, and there is no chance of them qualifying for the playoffs, as already four teams – Royal Challengers Bangalore, Punjab Kings, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans – have secured 14 points.
