Australia last played ODI in India in March. Then Marnus Labuschagne was also included in the Australian team. However, Labuschagne's name is not in the team selected for the World Cup. That means he has been left out of the World Cup plans and team. Labuschagne, who has an excellent average in Tests, has not performed well in ODIs. So far he has scored 847 runs in 30 ODIs at an average of 31.37. These include one century and six half-centuries.
34-year-old Glenn Maxwell will not play on the South African tour as he is soon going to become a father. After this he will join the team from the Indian tour.
