In their second game of the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai on Wednesday, Team India faced Hong Kong. Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli performed numerous acts of valour during the game, assisting India in scoring 192/2 in their respective 20 overs. But during Hong Kongs innings, spectators got to see something unusual. The arm of Virat Kohli was seen rolling. Yes, the former Indian captain did bowl the 17th over, yet he only managed to score six runs throughout that span.Virat Kohli was finally seen bowling in a T20I match after a six-year absence, and the 33-year-bowling olds spin infuriated the crowd.
The 17th over of the inning was bowled by Kohli. Sadly, the 33-year-old failed to claim a wicket, but his single over, in which he allowed six runs, became viral online.

In the past, Kohli has made light of the fact that he could have taken many more wickets than the eight he currently has in international play if his India teammates had more faith in his skill with the bat.
Prior to today, Kohli hadnt bowled in a T20I since 2016. When India needed to defend 7 runs in the final over of that particular game, MS Dhoni decided to pitch the ball to him even though Ravichandran Ashwin had not yet completed his allotted number of overs.

“No one in the team believes in my bowling but I do. After that I had back issues and then never bowled (in an international match),” Kohli said in a Star Sports interview.
In the meantime, former Indian skipper Kohli scored his first international half-century since a 52 against the West Indies in a T20I in Kolkata on February 18 of this year by making a confident 44-ball 59 not out against Hong Kong in Dubai on Wednesday. This follows his 35 against Pakistan in Indias Asia Cup opener.
