Third Unicorn, the latest venture by Grover, has launched Crickpe, a new fantasy cricket platform that distinguishes itself by offering cash rewards to real-life cricketers based on their in-game performance. This unique feature sets it apart from other fantasy cricket platforms. The launch has been timed just before the start of the IPL matches on March 31.
CrickPe, the cricket-centric fantasy sports app created by Ashneer Grover, is the latest product of his third venture, Third Unicorn Pvt Ltd, which was established in 2022. It has entered the highly competitive market of online fantasy cricket platforms, competing against the likes of Dream11, Mobile Premier League (MPL), and Games24x7's My11Circle.
According to the app's description on the Play Store, CrickPe is a platform exclusively focused on cricket, India's most popular sport. The app will only host cricket tournaments, where players can create virtual teams of 11 cricketers participating in real-life matches and score points based on their actual performance in those games.

Real Cricketers Win Rewards: CrickPe stands out from other fantasy cricket apps as it rewards actual cricketers a percentage of the game pot based on their real-time performance and earned fantasy points.
Direct Rewarding: Users can also show their support to their favorite cricketer by directly sending cash rewards ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 1,00,000 per cricketer per financial year.
Private Groups: Users can create private groups and compete with each other to earn rewards. However, CrickPe will charge a 10% platform fee for any such contest.
Free Practice Games: The app hosts a range of free contests and games for users to improve their skills.
Ashneer Grover, who has been associated with successful startups like BharatPe and Grofers, has launched CrickPe, his third venture. Third Unicorn Pvt Ltd, the company behind CrickPe, has raised $4 million in seed funding from over two dozen angel investors including Anmol Singh Jaggi, Anirudh Kedia, and Vishal Kedia. The new fantasy cricket app, CrickPe, will be targeting the T20 tournament for its launch, with the app offering contests for IPL 2023 matches starting from March 31, 2023.
