Afghanistan has announced a strong 15-member squad for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 to be held next month. Naveen-ul-Haq has returned to this team. Naveen's altercation with Virat Kohli in IPL 2023 had made a lot of headlines. Naveen did not get a place in the Afghan team for the Asia Cup, after which he looked very sad.
Fast bowler Naveen Ul Haq has returned as Afghanistan announced its 15-man squad for the World Cup starting in India next month. Naveen Ul Haq made a place in the ODI team for the first time after two years, he last played ODI in January 2021. He has taken 14 wickets in seven ODIs, in which his best performance was four wickets for 42 runs. Middle-order batsman Hashmatullah Shahidi will lead the team.
Apart from Naveen-ul-Haq, the fast bowling attack includes Fazalhaq Farooqui, Abdul Rahman, and Azmatullah Omarzai. Rashid Khan will lead the spin attack with Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb Ur Rehman and Noor Ahmed supporting him.
The top order in batting includes Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran, and Rahmat Shah while captain Shahidi and Najibullah Zadran will be in the middle order. Karim Janat, Mohammad Saleem, Sharfuddin Ashraf and Suliman Safi have not got a place in the World Cup team.

Afghanistan has included four spinners in its team for the World Cup. This includes Mohammad Nabi, Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rehman, and Noor Ahmed. There are two main fast bowlers in the form of Naveen Ul Haq and Fazalhaq Farooqui. Also, Abdullah Omarzai and Abdul Rehman are there to support him.
