Who is Atishi Atishi will be the new Chief Minister of Delhi. A consensus was reached on the name of Atishi in the meeting of the legislative party at Arvind Kejriwal's residence. Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor Arvind Kejriwal had proposed the name of Atishi, on which all the MLAs agreed. Let's know who is Atishi, who is going to become the Chief Minister of Delhi.

Why was the responsibility given?: After Kejriwal and Sisodia went to jail, Atishi was also given the responsibility of Education Minister. Atishi has an impeccable image in the party and has performed her responsibility well in Kejriwal's absence. Atishi is close to both Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia. Also, all the members in the party agreed on Atishi's name. This is the reason why Kejriwal has given this responsibility to Atishi.

MLA from Kalkaji:

42-year-old Atishi Marlena is an Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Kalkaji assembly seat in Delhi since 2020.

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Aam Aadmi Party fielded Atishi from the East Delhi seat, but she was defeated by BJP's Gautam Gambhir.

Studied at St. Stephen's:

Raised in Delhi and after completing high school from Springdales School, Pusa Road, New Delhi, Atishi did her graduation in History from St. Stephen's College.

Master's degree from Oxford:

She then went to Oxford University and completed her master's degree in history on a Chevening Scholarship in 2003. In 2005, she went to Magdalen College, Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar.

Atishi has also taught for some time at Rishi Valley School in Andhra Pradesh. She has also worked with the Sambhavna Institute of Public Policy NGO. Atishi joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2013. After the 2020 elections, she was made the in-charge of the AAP for the Goa unit.
