Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, travelled to Varanasi on Monday to present her youngest son Anant Ambani with his wedding card at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
Later on, Nita Ambani was seen in the neighbourhood shop savouring a plate of chaat. The wife of Mukesh Ambani was also observed mingling with the community.
At the chaat store in Uttar Pradesh city, Nita Ambani was observed mingling with the proprietors as they gave her the most delicious items on their menu. They fed her some food, including aloo chaat.
She replied, 'Mukesh would have loved it,' alluding to her husband's chaat addiction. It is well known that Mukesh Ambani frequents Mumbai's Swati Snacks, allegedly placing an order for meals there once a week.
In Varanasi, Nita Ambani was joined by fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
She also went to the daily evening ceremony at the Ganga River's banks known as the Ganga Aarti.
On July 12, in Mumbai, Anant Amban and Radhika Merchant will exchange vows at the Jio World Centre at the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC). Merchant is the daughter of Shaila Merchant and businessman Viren Merchant. There will be three days of festivities.
Ambanis recently threw a lavish pre-wedding party for their loved ones while on a sumptuous Mediterranean cruise. The four-day event in Italy and France drew the greatest names from Bollywood. The first round of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's pre-wedding celebrations was thrown by the wealthy family in Jamnagar, Gujarat, in March.
