Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric SUV was launched at the 2023 January Auto Expo, of which more than 1,000 units have been sold so far. Tarun Garg, COO Hyundai Motor India confirmed the development while recently announcing its new Smart Care Clinic customer connect program. The company achieved the new sales milestone almost 5 months after achieving 500 retail sales of its flagship electric offering. It is priced at ₹45.95 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The Ioniq 5 EV is locally assembled in the country.

What are the Features

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is packed with features with two 12.3-inch screens for the instrument console and a touchscreen infotainment system. It also gets voice assistant, powered tailgate, ventilated seats, dual-zone climate control, 8-speaker premium Bose sound system, vehicle-2-load (V2L) function and more. Apart from this, the electric SUV gets 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, engine parking brake, electronic stability control and level-2.

Range, Battery and motor Powertrain

The Ioniq 5 EV gets its power from the rear axle-mounted PMS motor, which is capable of generating 215 bhp power and 350 Nm peak torque. It is 185 km. Runs with a top speed of 1.5 mph. India gets a 72.6 kWh battery pack, which gives a range of 631 km on a single charge. , while the charging time via a 350 kW DC charger is 10-80 percent in just 18 minutes.
