Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Olympic medalist boxer Vijender Singh joins BJP: Boxer Vijender Singh, who won the bronze medal in the 2008 Beijing Olympics, has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). It is known that Vijender Singh was currently in Congress. And he had contested the last Lok Sabha election of 2019 on Congress ticket from South Delhi seat.

After joining BJP, Vijender said, 'Ram-Ram to all. The first one is Vijender, I will call wrong as wrong and right as right. I am associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the development and progress of the country.

Has contested elections from South Delhi

Vijender Singh had contested the last Lok Sabha elections in 2019 from South Delhi seat on Congress ticket. At that time Vijender had received 1,64,613 votes and was at third position. BJP's Ramesh Vidhuri had won there. AAP's Raghav Chadha stood second with 3 lakh 19 thousand 97 votes.
