Kolkata Doctors Murder Case Live Update: The agitation demanding justice in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital continues today. Medical services will remain affected in many states of the country even today. The Governor of Bengal has called an emergency meeting today regarding this incident. The Supreme Court will hear this case on August 20, i.e. Tuesday.
The doctors' agitation continues to demand justice in the case of rape and murder of a female trainee doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Hospital. Doctors are on strike in different parts of the country even today. Resident doctors of AIIMS and other hospitals in Delhi have announced to provide free OPD services on the road in front of the Health Ministry in Nirman Bhavan from August 19.
Politics is also going on on this issue. BJP has once again demanded the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Apart from this, the Supreme Court has taken suo motu cognizance of the heinous crime committed at RG Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata. It is going to hear this case on August 20, i.e. Tuesday. A bench headed by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud will hear this case.
