Press Release

Prime-time India cricket, multi-platform distribution and an estimated 40 million unique-user opportunity create a strong digital association for brands

NEW DELHI | 10th September 2026: The upcoming three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan is set to offer brands a significant digital advertising opportunity, with the matches scheduled to be streamed live on FanCode and distributed across eight partner platforms.

The series will be played on 13, 15 and 17 September 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, with all three matches scheduled for a 7:30 PM IST start. The combination of India cricket, a home venue and prime-time scheduling is expected to drive strong digital engagement during the series.

FanCode’s recent performance with India’s tour of Zimbabwe provides a benchmark for the platform’s digital reach. The series recorded approximately 35 million unique users on FanCode despite being played overseas and featuring non-prime start times. For the India vs Afghanistan series, the expected reach is approximately 40 million unique users, supported by the home venue and prime-time scheduling.

A key feature of the offering is its multi-platform distribution. Alongside FanCode, the same live feed will be available across eight partner applications, with brand spots and L-band integrations carried across the partner ecosystem at the same cost.

The partner platforms include Playbox, Watcho by Dish TV, Amazon Prime Video, Tata Play Binge, Times Prime, JioTV/JioTV+, CREX and Jagran.

The wider distribution gives advertisers access to additional digital screens without requiring separate media investments across each platform. For brands and agencies, the opportunity therefore extends beyond a conventional single-platform association to a broader digital cricket property with multiple points of distribution.

The series also offers a prime-time environment for advertisers, with three India T20Is scheduled at 7:30 PM in the national capital. This provides brands an opportunity to associate with live India cricket while avoiding the premium typically associated with the country’s largest flagship cricket properties.

With inventory available across all three matches, brands can explore spot advertising and L-band integrations as part of the association.

The India vs Afghanistan series is consequently positioned as a value-led digital cricket opportunity, combining the audience potential of India T20 cricket with FanCode’s multi-platform distribution network.
