This Poco phone can be India's first smartphone to come with HyperOS 2.0, which will bring better performance, advanced user interface and great customization options.
Xiaomi is working on a new smartphone POCO X7 Pro, which will be a mid-range model. A recent report has revealed that it will be the first device to launch in India with HyperOS 2.0 OS. However, the first phone to launch in China with HyperOS 2.0 custom skin based on Android 15 was Xiaomi 15. This OS may debut in India with POCO X7 Pro. However, there is no official confirmation about it.
This news comes via a report by SmartPrix, citing a reliable source. Xiaomi 15 has been launched in China with HyperOS 2.0, this flagship smartphone is expected to launch in India by March 2025. In such a situation, POCO X7 Pro can possibly be launched in India before Xiaomi 15. To recall, the POCO X6 Pro was launched in India in January 2024, so it is likely that the POCO X7 Pro could also enter the Indian market around the same time (January 2025).
Based on the information received so far, the POCO X7 Pro could possibly be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro. This means that the POCO X7 Pro could actually be a new avatar of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ model.
Xiaomi recently announced that the Redmi Note 14 series will be launched in December. In such a situation, it will not be a surprise if POCO X7 and POCO X7 Pro arrive in India a month later. Xiaomi has previously launched several variants of the same phone under its different sub-brands, with minor differences. If the POCO X7 Pro is indeed a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro +, then it will have a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, talking about the camera, the rear of the phone can have a 50MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto camera and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. Talking about hardware, the POCO X7 Pro is expected to get Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. Along with this, a big 6,200mAh battery can be found, which will support 90W fast charging.
