When will the 23rd installment of the PM Kisan Scheme be released?: Across the country, millions of farmers are now awaiting the 23rd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Under the PM Kisan scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 to farmers annually. This amount is deposited directly into the farmers' bank accounts in three equal installments. Farmers are now eagerly waiting to learn the release date of the next installment of Rs 2,000.
When can the 23rd installment be expected?
Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 22nd installment of PM Kisan in Guwahati, Assam, on March 13, 2026. Based on past records, the next—that is, the 23rd—installment of this scheme is likely to be released in June or July 2026. However, the government has not yet announced an official date.
How do farmers receive the funds?
Under the PM Kisan scheme, eligible farmers receive an installment of ₹2,000 every four months. These funds are transferred directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). This financial assistance helps farmers cover farming-related expenses as well as other essential costs.
Completing e-KYC is Mandatory:
If farmers wish to avail the benefit of the next installment, they must complete their e-KYC. The government has made it clear that the next installment will not be credited to farmers' accounts without the completion of e-KYC. Farmers can easily complete their e-KYC by visiting the official PM Kisan website. To do so, they are required to enter their Aadhaar number and verify their identity via an OTP.
Three Methods for e-KYC:
For the convenience of farmers, the government has provided three options for e-KYC: OTP-based e-KYC, Biometric e-KYC, and Face Authentication-based e-KYC. Farmers can complete this process through a CSC center, a mobile app, or the official portal.
How to Check Beneficiary Status:
Farmers can visit the official website and select the 'Beneficiary Status' option. By entering their Aadhaar number or bank account number there, they can determine when the funds for the next installment are expected to arrive and view the current status of the payment.
