The Kantara: Chapter 1 star has publicly condemned a series of viral AI-generated bikini images and videos falsely claiming to feature her, calling them “entirely fake and fabricated.”
As manipulated celebrity content continues to spread rapidly across social media, the actress has now confirmed that legal and cybercrime action is being initiated against those responsible.
Rukmini Vasanth Calls Viral AI Images Fake and Fabricated
The controversy erupted after a clip showing a woman in a blue bikini stepping into a swimming pool began circulating online. The visuals quickly gained traction, leading many users to speculate that the woman in the video was Rukmini Vasanth.
Shutting down the rumours, the actress released an official statement clarifying that the images and clips were digitally manipulated using AI technology.
“My team and I have come across certain AI-generated images being circulated online claiming to be me. I want to state clearly that these images are entirely fake and fabricated,” she stated.
Rukmini further described the circulation of such content as “deeply irresponsible” and called it a serious invasion of privacy. The actress urged people not to share or engage with the fake visuals, warning that such actions only amplify harmful misinformation online.
The actress made it clear that the matter is not being taken lightly. According to her statement, legal experts and cybercrime authorities are already being involved to track down those creating and distributing the morphed content.
This incident once again highlights the growing danger of AI-generated deepfake content in the entertainment world. From manipulated videos to fake celebrity photoshoots, several actors across India and globally have become targets of digitally altered content designed to attract clicks and viral attention.
For celebrities, the issue goes beyond embarrassment. Such fake visuals can damage public image, violate privacy, and create long-term reputational harm.
Rukmini Vasanth Earlier Impersonation Controversy
Interestingly, this is not the first cyber-related controversy involving the actress. Last year, Rukmini Vasanth had alerted fans about an impersonator allegedly contacting people using a fake phone number.
In an Instagram Story titled “Important Alert & Awareness Message,” she clarified that the number did not belong to her and warned followers against responding to suspicious calls or messages.
At the time, she had also confirmed that legal action was being initiated, describing the impersonation attempt as a cybercrime offence.
The repeated incidents underline how digital identity misuse has become a serious concern for public figures in the AI era.
Who Is Rukmini Vasanth?
Kantara: Chapter 1 actor Rukmini Vasanth has steadily built a strong presence across Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema. She made her Kannada debut with Birbal in 2019 and later gained widespread acclaim for her role as Priya in Sapta Saagaradaache Ello opposite Rakshit Shetty.
