Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Ram Mandir Rath Yatra will start in America: After the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya and the consecration of Shri Ram, there is an atmosphere of happiness in the Hindu community spread across India as well as the world. In this series, Ram Mandir Rath Yatra is going to start from Chicago, America from March 25. It will go to 851 temples in 48 states there. The journey, which will last 48 days, will cover a distance of more than 8,000 miles.
It will have idols of many gods and goddesses including Lord Ram and Sita.
The Rath Yatra will culminate at Sugar Grove in the state of Illinois on April 23 on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti. The Rath Yatra is being organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA). VHPA general secretary Amitabh Mittal said that the chariot has been built on a Toyota Sienna van. It will have idols of Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, Lakshman and Hanuman.
The journey will pass through 851 temples
Special prasad and worship of the sacred Kalash will also be done for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya. He said that after the consecration of life in the newly constructed Ram temple of Ayodhya, the flow of faith has increased in the minds of 1.5 billion Hindus of the world.
Apart from America, a separate Rath Yatra will also be taken out in Canada, which will be organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Canada. It will pass through 150 temples there. Tejal Shah of Hindu Temple Empowerment Council (HMEC) said that the aim of this Rath Yatra is to make people aware, educate and empower people about Hinduism.
Hindu community in America will undertake such a journey for the first time
HMEC is the supreme body of America's temples. Tejal said that it is important for us and our future generations to be aware and unite to spread the Hindu religion. This Rath Yatra is giving an opportunity to all Hindus to unite.
The Rath Yatra will pass not only through big temples of America but also through small temples. We will go to all the temples. Amitabh Mittal told that many people are joining us to organize the yatra. This is the first such trip organized by the Hindu community in America.
