The biggest turning point in Indian cricket was winning the 1983 Cricket World Cup under Kapil Dev’s captaincy, defeating the mighty West Indies.
India won its second ODI World Cup in 2011, led by MS Dhoni, making history on home soil. The team has also won the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup, the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy, and multiple Asia Cups.
