On August 5, 2026, the six franchises announced their retained and pre-signed players ahead of the player auction scheduled for October 7, 2026. Four franchises entered the auction with a total of 20 available player slots—including a wildcard slot for Joburg Super Kings that fell outside the salary cap. Durban Super Giants and Paarl Royals had already finalized their full 19-player squads prior to the auction, so they did not need to add any further players.
