The 2026 Kwibuka Women's T20I Tournament is a significant international women's cricket tournament. This marks the 12th edition of this annual competition. In addition to promoting women's cricket, this series is also deeply intertwined with a profoundly poignant and historical background.
The tournament was inaugurated in Rwanda in 2014. Its primary objective is to commemorate and pay tribute to the victims of the horrific genocide committed against the Tutsi community in Rwanda in 1994. It was formerly known as the 'Kwibuka Cricket for Peace Tournament.' In the local language, 'Kwibuka' means 'to remember.

Kwibuka Women's T20I Tournament, 2026 – Tournament Format
This tournament will be played in a 'double round-robin' format. This means that during the group stage, every team will compete against every other team twice. Following the conclusion of the group stage, the 'Grand Final' will be played on June 20 between the top two teams in the points table.
