Quetta will be once again led by Sarfaraz Ahmed and this time he has a lot of quality and resources to play with. Quetta Gladiators team includes the likes of Shahid Afridi, James Vince and Iftikhar Ahmed, all three of which were traded in before the PSL 2022 draft. While experienced players such as Sohail Tanvir, Umar Akmal and James Faulkner will provide much-needed calmness to the team. Quetta Gladiators is a Pakistani professional Twenty20 cricket franchise that competes in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). They were the champions of PSL 2019. The team is nominally based in Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan, Pakistan. The franchise was established in 2015 as a result of the formation of the PSL by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The team's homeground is Bugti Stadium. The team is captained by Sarfraz Ahmed and coached by former Pakistani wicket-keeper Moin Khan while West Indian legend Viv Richards is team's mentor and batting coach and Azam Khan is team's manager. Abdul Razzaq is team's assistant coach.
Quetta will kickstart their campaign against Peshawar Zalmi on 28 January at National Stadium Karachi. Their last group stage match will be against Karachi Kings on 20 February at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. Quetta’s second match of the Pakhtoon derby against Peshawar Zalmi will be played on 15 February at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
