A major lapse in the security of players was seen during the final match of the ODI World Cup 2023. One lakh 30 thousand spectators were present in Ahmedabad Stadium. Everyone was already aware of this. For this reason, tight security arrangements were made. However, a fan defied complete security and entered inside the ground. This incident happened in the 14th over of the Indian innings.
Adam Zampa was bowling. Virat Kohli and Lokesh Rahul were at the crease. Meanwhile, a fan entered the field. He also tried to get closer to Virat. However, security personnel arrived in time and took the fan out of the field.
This fan's jersey had the Palestine flag on it. The slogan of liberating Palestine was also written on its T-shirt. In such a situation, there is a possibility that this fan may have come inside the ground to perform some kind of demonstration.
