Meerut Maverricks produced a commanding all-round performance to beat Lucknow Falcons in the UPT20 League 2026 final at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on Sunday.
After winning the toss, Meerut Maverricks captain Rinku Singh elected to bat first. His decision proved spot on as Divyansh Joshi delivered a breathtaking century to help Meerut post 203/7 in 20 overs.
Chasing 204 for their maiden UPT20 League title, Lucknow Falcons struggled against Meerut’s disciplined bowling attack and were eventually bowled out for just 109 in 16 overs. Meerut therefore secured a massive 94-run victory to lift the championship trophy.

Meerut got off to a flying start as Swastik Chikara and Divyansh Joshi put together a 53-run opening partnership.
Following Chikara’s dismissal, Joshi shifted gears and took the attack to the Lucknow bowlers. The right-handed batter produced one of the standout knocks of the tournament, smashing 105 runs from only 40 deliveries.
His explosive innings included 12 fours and seven sixes, giving Meerut the momentum they needed to post a challenging total.
Joshi’s match-winning contribution also earned him the Player of the Match award.
