Stefan Milicevic Banned for 24 Years: A major incident that has severely undermined the spirit of tennis has come to light. The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has handed a 24-year ban to 29-year-old Serbian tennis player Stefan Milicevic, after finding him guilty of fixing multiple matches and recruiting other players into his corrupt network. As a result of this stern ruling, Milicevic will be barred from participating in any official professional tennis event until the year 2050.

Stefan Milicevic Fixed 6 Matches

According to an investigation report released by the ITIA, Milicevic engaged in large-scale match-fixing between 2022 and 2024. He has been found guilty of fixing six matches five of which he fixed while playing on the court himself. Additionally, he was found culpable for attempting to fix other matches.

Milicevic did not limit his activities to fixing matches himself; he also recruited several other professional players into a corrupt network, leading them to fix matches as well.

As a result, the International Tennis Integrity Agency has decided to impose a 24-year ban on him. In addition to this long-term ban, the regulatory body has also slapped a hefty fine of $70,000 (approximately 66 lakh rupees) on Milisevic.

Conspiracy Orchestrated in Lower-Tier Events

Stefan Milisevic never became a major name on the main ATP Tour, reaching a career-high singles ranking of only 1,338. He primarily competed in lower-tier tournaments, where he established this corrupt scheme. Citing confidentiality and security protocols, the agency has not publicly disclosed details of the specific matches involved or the names of other players who may have been part of the syndicate.

The ITIA further clarified that Milisevic failed to cooperate with the agency throughout the investigation and did not respond to the findings presented against him. Given this lack of cooperation, the maximum level of disciplinary action was imposed upon him.
