In the IPL 2024, veteran Indian batter Rohit Sharma has been outstanding, giving the Mumbai Indians strong starts in the majority of their group-stage games.
According to a previous report, Punjab Kings owner Preity Zinta has reportedly expressed interest in buying the batting wizard in the 2025 mega auction because of his achievements at bat.
Zinta had not, however, made any such remarks on the IPL broadcasting platform, according to the most recent assurance from the Punjab Kings management. The Kings have disregarded it, referring to it as a rumour with no basis.
I'll stake all I have to win Rohit Sharma in the big auction. The PBKS owner, cited by Dainik Jagran, stated, 'We are just lacking a captain on our team who brings on some stability and champion mindset.'

OneCricket discovered, via further investigation, that the story was based on a joke tweet that a Rohit Sharma fan had written on 'X' (the former Twitter). All things considered, the commotion was caused by the tweet that went viral on social media.
With just two victories in their last four games, Punjab Kings, captained by Shikhar Dhawan, are mired at number seven in the points standings. Interestingly, their next game is scheduled to take place at home on April 18 against Rohit Sharma's Mumbai Indians.
