There are mostly foreign faces in senior positions in the coaching staff of Pakistan team. The team director was Mickey Arthur who has now been removed. Grant Bradburn is the head coach and the post of batting coach is held by Andrew Puttick. The post of bowling coach of the Pakistan team was held by the legendary South African bowler Morne Morkel but he has already resigned from his post.

Babar Azam resigns from captaincy of all three formats

Babar Azam has resigned from the captaincy of Pakistan. He resigned through a note on Wednesday. Babar wrote in his post on X (Twitter), 'I remember well the moment when I got a call from PCB to lead Pakistan in 2019. In the last four years, I have seen many ups and downs on and off the field. But I aimed to maintain the pride of Pakistan in the cricket world with all my heart and dedication.

Morne Morkel resigns as Pakistan bowling coach

Morne Morkel has resigned from the post of bowling coach of Pakistan team after the disappointing performance in the World Cup 2023. Morkel joined the team in June this year on a six-month contract. The performance of Pakistan's bowlers was very shameful in the World Cup.

From Shaheen Shah Afridi to Harris Rauf got a tough fight in the tournament. The Pakistan Cricket Board has accepted Morkel's resignation and his replacement will be announced soon.

Mohammad Hafeez appointed director of Pakistan men's cricket team

Former cricketer Mohammad Hafeez has been made the director of the Pakistani team in place of Mickey Arthur. He has emerged as the most influential personality in Pakistan cricket. Pakistan appointed two new captains

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Shan Masood as the new captain of the Test team while young fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been given the captaincy of the national T20 team. PCB gave this information on social media. Babar Azam had announced today to step down from captaincy in all three formats. After the shameful performance in the ongoing World Cup in India, questions started being raised on Babar's captaincy. Babar captained the Pakistan cricket team for 4 years.

While sharing the photo of Shaheen Afridi and Shan Masood on X (Twitter), PCB wrote, 'We are presenting our captains. Shanu Masood will be the captain of the Test team, while Shaheen Afridi will captain the T20 team. PCB has not yet told who will captain the Pakistan team in ODIs.
