Pakistan has appointed young pacer Fatima Sana as the new captain of the T20I team, having led the national side in two ODIs. Sana will replace veteran Nida Dar, who recently led Pakistan to the semi-finals of the Women's Asia Cup in Sri Lanka.
South Africa and Pakistan have faced each other 21 times in Women's T20 Internationals since their first meeting in 2010. The Proteas have a slight 11-10 lead over their Asian rivals. But Pakistan have a 3-0 lead over their opponents while playing at home.
