Mark Chapman and Zach Ruled Out of India T20Is: The stage is set for the highly anticipated multi-format series between India and New Zealand, kicking off this month. The Indian team ('Men in Blue') will take the field against hosts New Zealand for a series comprising five T20 Internationals, five ODIs, and two Test matches. The tour begins with the first T20 match in Christchurch on October 22.
However, just before the start of this high-voltage series, the New Zealand cricket team has suffered a major setback. Two key players from the injury-plagued Kiwi squad have been completely ruled out of the upcoming T20I series against India.
Mark Chapman and Zakary Foulkes Ruled Out Due to Injury

Explosive New Zealand batter Mark Chapman and player Zakary Foulkes will not be part of the five-match T20I series against India due to injuries.
- Mark Chapman: Chapman sustained an injury to his left hamstring during the European T20 Premier League in September 2026. He will not be fit in time for the T20 series and will only be able to return to the field by the start of the ODI series.
- Zakary Foulkes: Foulkes sustained an injury to his right hip flexor during a training session, forcing him to withdraw from the T20 series as well.
NZC Announces Josh Clarkson and Blair Tickner as Replacements

Following the withdrawal of both players, New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has promptly announced their replacements:
- Josh Clarkson – All-rounder
- Blair Tickner – Experienced fast bowler
Both players have been added to the T20 squad to maintain the team's depth.

Incorporating the changes necessitated by the injuries, New Zealand's final 16-member T20I squad is as follows:
