Speaking at the pre-match press conference ahead of the second T20 match, Indian cricket team batting coach Sitanshu Kotak discussed team composition and the importance of giving opportunities to young players.
"To be honest, when you test players and win, the momentum continues. If you lose, there is a very fine line in maintaining that balance. That is why we try to make some changes, as we have promising players." — Sitanshu Kotak, Batting Coach

Addressing questions about bench strength and testing new players, Kotak clarified that while giving opportunities to youngsters is an ongoing process, maintaining team balance is equally crucial.
Kotak said, "When you give chances to new players, some experienced ones have to sit out. So, if the opposition plays well and the match is close, you realize it is a process; whenever the opportunity arises, we should give young players a chance to build future bench strength."
The coach's statement clearly indicates that the team management is currently not in the mood to make major alterations to the winning combination. In such a scenario, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi might have to wait a little longer to break into the playing XI.
