IPL 2026 Brand Valuation: According to the 2026 brand valuation report by global investment bank Houlihan Lokey, the Indian Premier League (IPL) has created history in the commercial world. The tournament's business enterprise value has reached $20.6 billion (approximately ₹1.97 lakh crore), marking an annual growth of 11.4%.

IPL Standalone Brand Value Hits $4.3 Billion, Second Only to NFL

The report indicates that the IPL's standalone brand value has risen by 10.3% to reach $4.3 billion. Based on per-match valuation, the IPL has now become the world's second-largest sports property, trailing only the American football league, the NFL.

A key driver of this massive expansion is the growing confidence of major institutional investors. Recent ownership deals valuing RCB at $1.78 billion and Rajasthan Royals at $1.65 billion have set new benchmarks in the market.

RCB Becomes First Franchise to Cross $300M Mark

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has maintained its dominance in the franchise rankings. Driven by a massive fan base and successful digital monetization, RCB has reached a valuation of $312 million, recording an annual growth of 16% It has become the first IPL team to cross the $300 million mark.

Meanwhile, capitalizing on commercial momentum, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have overtaken Chennai Super Kings (CSK) to secure a spot in the top three.

Among the teams at the bottom of the table, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) leads with a valuation of $168.0 million (+9.1%). Meanwhile, driven by the emergence of new players and the benefits of an ownership deal, Rajasthan Royals (RR) hold the second spot with $161.0 million (+10.3%).
