Before Abhishek scored the winning goal, Harmanpreet Singh and Sukhjeet had already netted three goals for India; Harmanpreet Singh scored two, while Sukhjeet scored one.
A rare feat at the Asian Games after 28 years
With the Indian men's hockey team reaching the final, a scenario unfolded at the Asian Games that had last occurred 28 years ago.
This marks the first time since 1998 that both the Indian men's and women's teams have reached the Asian Games hockey finals. The women's team had secured their spot in the final by defeating Korea in the semi-finals.
