Pakistan qualified for the men's cricket gold medal match at the Asian Games for the first time by defeating Bangladesh in the first semifinal.
Sri Lanka bowled out for their lowest-ever T20I score
India set a target of 170 runs for Sri Lanka. However, while chasing it, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for their lowest-ever T20I total.
Sri Lanka scored just 45 runs against India, marking their lowest score in T20 Internationals. Previously, their lowest T20I score was 77 runs, recorded against South Africa in New York in June 2024.
India reaches final with biggest win over Sri Lanka
Team India not only bowled Sri Lanka out for their lowest-ever T20I score but also handed them their heaviest defeat against India. In the second semi-final of the men's cricket event at the 2026 Asian Games, India defeated Sri Lanka by 124 runs.
This marks Team India's biggest victory over Sri Lanka in terms of runs. Previously, India's largest win over Sri Lanka by run margin had been recorded in a T20I played in Cuttack in 2017.
