Shreyas Iyer displayed amazing fielding against New Zealand. After taking the catch of Devon Conway at short square leg, Shreyas hinted at being given the medal. Earlier, Ravindra Jadeja had made such a gesture against Bangladesh.
Actually, Devon Conway's wicket fell in Siraj's over. In the fourth over, Kiwi batsman Devon Conway tried to flick the ball of Mohammed Siraj. He had no idea that a spectacular example of athleticism was about to appear before his eyes. Shreyas Iyer, positioned at short square leg, leapt to his right with agility.
Caught while jumping in the air
Flying in the air, Shreyas took a wonderful catch and showed Conway the way to the pavilion with the score of zero. This was a catch which can easily be called a game-changer. After this, Shreyas Iyer, imitating Jadeja, demanded to be given a medal for the best fielder. Actually, Ravindra Jadeja took a wonderful catch against Bangladesh. After that there was a hint of giving the medal.
