IND vs BAN 2nd Test match: The toss was delayed despite no rain on Friday morning ahead of the second Test between India and Bangladesh in Kanpur. However, overnight rain and humidity delayed the match.

The toss is getting delayed due to rain in Kanpur. The ground is wet due to rain and covers are present on half of the ground. Due to this, the toss will not happen on time and the match will get delayed.

Two super-shoppers were deployed to dry the outfield. Groundsmen were also seen working on the pitch and the run-up area near the press box. Ravindra Jadeja went onto the pitch and tried to feel the black soil surface.

The inspection time was fixed at 9:30 am, as several Indian players were waiting near the boundary rope for the game to resume. Head coach Gautam Gambhir and Morne Morkel also came on the field to take stock of the conditions. Captain Rohit Sharma was seen talking to match referee Jeff Crowe, while Rishabh Pant was standing next to him and paying attention to the conversation. Murali Kartik said in his pitch report that if India wins the toss, they would prefer to bat first even if the weather is cloudy.
