ICC Test Rankings: In the latest Test rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC), Pakistan captain Babar Azam has once again secured a spot among the world's top 10 batsmen. He achieved this significant gain thanks to Pakistan's spectacular 8-wicket victory over the West Indies in the Port of Spain Test and his own impressive individual performance.

In the first innings of the match played in Port of Spain, Babar Azam played a responsible knock of 88 runs, while remaining unbeaten on 24 in the second innings. On the strength of this performance, Babar has jumped five places in the rankings to reach the 10th spot.
This marks the first time since September 2024 that Babar has returned to the top-10 list of Test batsmen. Previously, he had been part of this elite group for five consecutive years and had achieved a career-best ranking of number two in December 2022.

Abdullah Shafique Climbs 25 Spots in ICC Test Rankings

The most significant gain for Pakistan went to Abdullah Shafique, who batted at number three. Making a comeback to the team, Shafique scored an unbeaten 160 in the first innings and remained not out on 24 in the second innings as well. He was named 'Player of the Match' for his unbeaten performance.
Thanks to this performance, Shafique has climbed 25 places in the rankings to reach the 32nd spot.

There have been no changes at the top of the latest ICC rankings:
- Batting Ranking: Australia's explosive batter Travis Head retains the top spot.
- Bowling Ranking: India's premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remains the world's number one Test bowler.
- All-rounder Ranking: India's star player Ravindra Jadeja continues to hold the top spot among all-rounders.
