Amidst the thrilling T20 series currently underway between India and England, these new rankings reveal some significant and surprising shifts. It has been a mixed bag of news for the Indian team; while Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma continue to dominate, former captain Suryakumar Yadav has suffered a major setback. Meanwhile, a young English batsman has made a massive leap to break directly into the top 10.

Two aggressive Indian openers hold the top two spots in the latest T20I rankings. Explosive wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan remains firmly entrenched in the number one position. Kishan has seen a slight boost in his rating during the India-England series.
His rating has risen from 876 points on July 1st to 897 points. However, he is currently slightly behind the career-best rating of 904 that he had achieved a short while ago. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma, holding the second spot, is rapidly closing the gap on Ishan Kishan. Abhishek sits at number two with a rating of 881, meaning the margin between the two Indian batsmen has narrowed significantly.
England's Jacob Bethell Storms Into Top 10 Rankings

The biggest gainer in this ranking update is England's young and aggressive batsman, Jacob Bethell. Having delivered a powerful performance in the T20 series against India, Bethell has made a massive jump up the rankings chart.
Jacob Bethell has climbed seven places to break directly into the top 10, securing the eighth (8th) position. Thanks to a brilliant innings played against India in a recent match, his rating has now reached 708. This surge in form suggests that Bathel is set to pose a major challenge to other batters in upcoming matches.

On the other hand, there is bad news for Indian fans as well. Suryakumar Yadav—counted among the most dangerous batters in the T20 format and a former captain of the Indian team—has suffered a significant setback. Surya has been out of the Indian T20 squad for some time, and the lack of consistent match play is clearly reflected in his ICC rating.
Suryakumar Yadav has now dropped out of the list of the top 10 T20 batters. He has slipped five places to the 13th spot, with his rating falling to 687 points.
