Dinesh Karthik Will play first tournament after retirement

SA20 will be the first tournament in which 39-year-old Dinesh Karthik will be seen playing after announcing his retirement in June this year. Karthik has played 180 international matches for India. He played his last match for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2024, in which he can now be seen in the role of mentor cum batting coach.

Retired players can play in foreign leagues

BCCI allows only retired players to play in foreign T20 leagues. Last year Ambati Rayudu was seen playing in the Caribbean Premier League. After that he played for Dubai Capitals in ILT20 along with Yusuf Pathan. Two years ago Suresh Raina also played in the Abu Dhabi T10 League.
