Anaya Bangar Responds to Marizanne Kapp After Cricket Australia Clearance: Anaya Bangar, daughter of former Indian cricketer and coach Sanjay Bangar, is back in the spotlight. Cricket Australia (CA) has granted her permission to play in domestic and community women's cricket. While Anaya is overjoyed by this decision, it has sparked a debate within the women's cricketing world.
South African star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp took to social media to label the decision "absolutely ridiculous," stating that such permission should not be granted.

Speaking to the news agency PTI, Anaya hit back at the statements made by Marizanne Kapp and other critics. She remarked that those questioning her inclusion in women's cricket need to educate themselves on the subject.
According to Anaya, the Manchester University Institute of Sport conducted a 12-week athletic assessment on her. The results clearly indicated that her physical parameters align perfectly with the standards of female athletes.

Anaya shared that her gender transition journey (involving HRT) was emotionally painful and fraught with isolation. At one point, she feared she would never hold a bat again, but the strong support of her family kept her from breaking down. Now, thanks to Cricket Australia's progressive policies, she is ready to step onto the field once more.
Anaya Bangar Expresses Disappointment Over BCCI Silence
Anaya also spoke candidly about the stance of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
She revealed that she had first approached the BCCI, but was met only with silence from the board.She described the board's silence as disheartening. Despite this, her dream of playing for Team India remains alive. Anaya hopes that the BCCI will soon clarify its policies regarding trans women players. For now, she intends to stake her claim for the Women's Big Bash League (WBBL) by playing club cricket in Australia.
