The last game before the Christmas bells ring will see East take on West as Bengal Warriors will be up against the Gujarat Giants. Gujarat Giants registered an upset against the more-fancied Jaipur Pink Panthers, while Bengal Warriors beat the strong UP Yodha side, Both teams will come into the game high on confidence.
Maninder Singh: Maninder Singh is the top raider in the Bengal Warriors side and was one of the major reasons behind them lifting the coveted Season 7 trophy. The tall and strong raider ended last season strongly and started this one well, registering 7 raid points, including a bonus point.
Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh: Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh is the x-factor in the Bengal Warriors side. He can raid, he can tackle and he can do things that others cant even think of. He is acrobatic and brings energy into the side. The Iranian was the top- scorer for the side in the opening game, scoring 8 raid points, including a bonus in addition to 3 tackle points. He will be the dangerman from Gujarats perspective.
Rinku Narwal: A strong defence is a key to putting pressure on the opposition and Rinku Narwal does just that. The left corner defender is very neat with his tackles and though he registered just 1 successful tackle in the opening game, he will be a big threat for Gujarat raiders.
Girish Maruti Ernak: Girish Maruti Ernak made a move from Puneri Paltan and had one of his best games ever in PKL in the colours of Gujarat Giants in just his 1st game for the franchise. The defender registered a High 5, securing 7 tackle points, which also sees him at the top of the scoring charts for defenders.
Parvesh Bhainswal: Parvesh has proved to be a great asset for the Giants in defence and was a key member of the Gujarat side that produced 2 great seasons before the last one. The left cover defender was the top-scoring defender for the side last season and had a good outing last night as well, scoring 3 tackle points and registering a bonus point while putting in a raid.
Rakesh Narwal: Rakesh Narwal might not be the biggest name around but the youngster had a good game last night. The raider put in a neat effort to score 7 raid points, including a bonus. He will be looking to put in a similar performance tonight.
Mohammad Esmaeil Nabibakhsh: Nabibakhsh offers points potential in both attack and defence, which not only makes him a dangerous player but also a top captaincy candidate. He will be up for it against a quality Gujarat defence as he looks to make a further mark.
Maninder Singh: Maninder is a quality raider and though he is against some fine defenders in Gujarats ranks, he knows his way to scoring points and will be handy. Maninder would look to make the best use of his strength and height and score big.
