The 1st match of the Super50 Cup 2021 will be played between the Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands on 7th February, at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.
Domestic cricket has returned to West Indies after a long gap of 14 long months, in the form of 50-over format.
Leeward Islands Team Updates:
Last year’s runners up the Leeward Islands will be up against the Windward Islands in the opening game.
Leewards Islands had a good tournament last year till the finals, where they lost badly against West Indies Emerging Team by 205 runs.
They have got Kieron Powell and Sheeno Berridge in their ranks, who were last year’s leading run-scorer and leading wicket-taker respectively.
Kieran Powell and Amir Jangoo will probably open the inning for the Leeward Islands team.
Montcin Hodge, T Warde, Nitish Kumar will take care of the middle order of the team.
Kieran Powell will lead the Leeward Islands team as a Captain. He is also good Batsman.
Amir Jangoo will do the wicket keeping for Leeward Islands team.

Windward Islands had a terrible tournament last year as they finished 4th in the Group B standings, winning only 2 matches.
Kerron Cottoy and Alick Athanaze had a decent run with both bat & ball in last tournament.
They have signed experienced campaigner Sunil Ambris this year and he will be a man to watch out for the Windward Islands.
Sunil Ambris and Kimani Melius will probably open the inning for the WNI team. Both are well known inning openers.
D Maloney , Roland Cato, Keron Cottoy will take car of the middle order.
Sunil Ambris will lead the WNI team as a Captain. He is also a good Alrounder.
Emmanuel Stewart will do the Wicket Keeping duty for his WNI team.
Kenneth Dember and Ryan John will take care of the pace attack for his team.
