After this victory over Bangladesh, the Indian team benefited in the WTC Points Table. Team India's WTC Points Percentage (PCT) has increased to 71.66, with 86 points in 10 Tests. They were already at the top of the table and now have a lead of 9.16 percent over Australia. At the same time, Bangladesh has suffered a loss after losing the first Test to India.

India tops the WTC points table: Actually, India has gained in the WTC Points Table after the victory in Chennai Test, while Bangladesh team has slipped from fourth to sixth position. Their PCT has decreased from 45.83 to 39.28. Sri Lanka and England have moved up one position each.

India currently has a total of 86 points after playing 10 matches and is at the top of the WTC points table with a win percentage of 71.67. If the PCT is more than 60, then there are chances of reaching the WTC Final. However, last time in 2023, India qualified with 58.8 PCT. India needs to win at least 4 matches and draw one out of its remaining 9 matches.

After the Chennai Test, the Indian team has to play the second Test against Bangladesh in Kanpur. After this, India has to face New Zealand in a two-match Test series. Then India has to play the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
