Will India team be going to Pakistan for Champions Trophy 2025?
- According to a report published by Sports Tak on July 6, Team India will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy, which will run from February 19 to March 9.
- "Though the details of the tournament have not been discussed yet, it is highly unlikely that the Indian team will travel to Pakistan. Ultimately, the decision lies with the Indian government. However, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to raise the issue at the upcoming ICC meeting in Sri Lanka this month," Sports Tak quoted a source as saying.
- He said, "The government's decision on the matter will be final, as we have not yet confirmed it internally. Since it is an ICC event, we do not have the authority to take any unilateral decision. However, more details may emerge during the next ICC meeting." Since 2008, India have not travelled to Pakistan and have met only once for a bilateral series in 2012-13. Although India were scheduled to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in 2023, the tournament took place in hybrid mode, with India's matches, including the final, played in Sri Lanka.
